Fiesta throttle body

Had a problem with my '02 plate fiesta for around 3 months and had someone take a look at it today.

He says he's 95% sure the problem is with the throttle body & said it's going to be £380 to fix!

First question is this seems a bit steep?

Second question, is there anywhere I can source one from myself at a cheaper price & then pay for it to be fitted?

Try bba-reman they will repair the old one. No idea how much though.

£380 is about right for any tiny little piece of a modern car, try owning a Suzuki!
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

Well you've not described the fault, but the idle control valve has always been an issue on the Fiesta (on all small/medium sized Fords actually), basically behaves like a throttle valve at idle to keep the car running when your not giving it any throttle.

So when the ICV is faulty it creates problems that could also be caused by the throttle body, basically stalling (or trying to) at idle, at junctions, changing gear etc etc.

You've not told us the engine in your vehicle though and 2002 was the transition period between Fiesta MK5 and MK6.
