Depends on the machine, most are available on eBay, they are easy to fit, a few screws underneath and it slides out, one ribbon cable and Roberts your fathers brother.

Had a similar thing with my Toshiba - bought a new keyboard on ebay and fitted in about 15 mins. Was less than £15 I think

My laptop has a thin plastic strip above the keyboard that you remove to give access to a couple of screws/clips and you just pull the keyboard up gently. The tricky bit is removing the ribbon cable from the clip that connects to the motherboard - be patient and gentle or you could damage the main board.

I googled for a workshop manual and YouTube video before attempting it, but it is a fairly easy DIY repair if you're handy and take your time.
