Free Skylander Giants

My son won a golden ticket in a skylanders giant booster set. He brought it from HMV who were doing the promotion. But when I log onto the website it says the website is invalid. There is no expiry date on the ticket and the T&C's are on the website I cant access. I have spoken to HMV and they are finding out from Activision if the promo is still valid. There were 50 golden tickets each winning the COMPLETE skylander Giants range free. Do I still have a case or not. As I fell that HMV should of pull the promo and re-called all of the boxes.:(
