    Nobody is waiting for me to buy a property - I'm at the top of this chain, and could complete tomorrow if everything was in place. Lots of temp accommodation options open to me if needed: Partner's place, brothers place, friends place.

    The hold up is my buyer is having difficulty with the mortgage application showing proof of earnings. So now trying with another lender.

    The house I want to buy - is a totally different transaction, and I want to keep it that way - the last thing I want to do is extend the chain I'm in any further. I don't want to lose this particular house so the easiest and quickest option is to buy without the need for my sale to go through.
