Underpayment of TC affec HB?

Hi there,
Please can you help?
I had a nice suprise, I had a considerable amount of tax credits paid into my account because we had been underpaid for a year.

Then I got a letter from HB saying our monthly TC was being increased and to explain why.

Now I am worried, will the HB now recalcualte everything for last year given the TC have given us a lump sum and will it also affect my HB every month now and possibly could be worse off for having more TC?

thanks
Loopy

Arrears of tax credits are used as capital and we then use the ongoing 4-weekly payments so you should be ok
