Credit Card Theft/lost cover

I have had for 20years+ HSBC Credit card and have had there Guardcard cover in case of theft or losing the cards and have been told that the cards are covered any way and at no cost can I claim this fee back.

    Its true. Banks have to refund any fraudulent charges, so I wouldn't waste your money on any extra cover.

    You ara covered against fraudulent use, but I thin Guardcard offers different sort of protection.

    There are cases where the cardholder will have to stand the loss.

    In cases of fraud, surely this is only where the cardholder has acted negligently? In which case, insurance wouldn't pay out either.
