Air travel without checked in luggage

I remember Martin talking about a jacket with a multitude of pockets to avoid paying the rip-off charges for checked-in luggage. Does anyone know where they can be found?

Have a look on ebay for flyfishing jackets. Buy one size up than you would normally wear to allow for the extra bulk.

I was really lucky to pick one up in a charity shop - I often wear it as a gilet when I go out as I am disabled and it leaves my hands free. It would be perfect for passports and any small but heavier items such as cameras, the plastic bag for liquids, etc. In fact mine has a huge inside pocket that would probably take a netbook or tablet (though I've not had occasion to try that out).
