Turned down for Egg Blue - ask why or forget it?

My Egg Green is about to start it's anniversary on May 1st, so thought I would apply for an Egg Blue. Immediate online rejection!.

"The blue Egg Card is currently only available to customers who meet certain criteria and unfortunately we've been unable to approve you for a card at this time."

They will know that my Egg Green has a £10K limit, which obviously I'm going to stooze. Would they instantly have known that I also have the following?:

Lloyds £15K (which I have to repay May 7th - not a problem as I
don't have a debt
Amazon £1,568
IF £2,401
Morg Stan £2,154
Citibank (coming but don't know limit yet)
Egg Green £10K (about to start it's anniversary May 1st)

My income is small, £14K, could that be the reason why they thought I,ve got
an overload of money! I wanted opinions as to whether to give them a call and simply find out why I was turned down and dig a bigger hole for myself as to what I do with all this money, or should I just accept, you win some, you lose some.

Of course the reason for going for the Egg Blue was to use it as a mule.

No harm in asking why, that way you might improve your chances next time round. My Egg green anniversary doesnt start until Dec :( What does the egg blue do? Its just a spending card isnt it?

I got turned down for an eggy-blue a few months ago despite having been an eggy-green cardholder almost since it first came out [when it was good for cashback...]. I may try again in afew months when my anniversary offer is "in motion" in case I want a mule [based on my experience of having been turned down a coupla times by Halifax but then accepted later for the CancerResearchHalifax card & also just been accepted for the Virgin card despite having been spurned by them some months ago [when their free wine offer was on... !!!!!!!]

Mary -- If at first you don't succeed - wait a few months!

MonkiMan -- Not just a spending card - a mule.
Expect the worst & hope for the best...

recently applied for current account with cheque garauntee card/cheque book/overdaft and was told you can only have a cash card and if you want other things have to complete appeal form which is sent to head office. couldn't believe it and was not impressed to say the least. I could only put it down to the stupid computer at the building society not recognising my address- live at number, x court, y road etc but details always come up on post office list as y road. it definately could not have been due to any other reason.
told the women at the building society who told me to appeal. she filled out the form for me and just told me to sign it. Suprise, suprise- you can have everything including overdraft because our computer now recognises your address!!!!!!!
the point is - check why you've been refused. it can be for the most silly of reasons and you are able to make better informed decisions. if it is you have too much debt, too many cards then pay them off, cancel card, reapply etc.
