Shared ownership vs help to buy

Hi guys,
Me and my partner are looking to buy a house, we can not afford to get a mortgage so have been looking at the goverment schemes to help us.
Does anyone know which scheme is better the shared ownership scheme or the help to buy scheme? We have read up on both schemes but can not work out which scheme is financial better.
We are currently renting and really want to get onto the property ladder. We know there are some people who wouldent go near ither scheme, but we were just wondering if you needed to choose 1 of the schemes which would be the better.
