AVIOS/LLOYDS TSB Scam!

in Credit cards
Dear All,
Can anyone help me, back in January 2013, Martin Lewis's team posted on a weekly email, how to receive BA/avios points from BA/ Lloyds TSB credit cards.
Both Avios and Lloyds TSB clearly advertised (on their separate sites)that if you applied for a credit card by April 2013, and you met the eligible spend you would receive the entitled points.
Now if you applied for the duo card, you had to spend £500 a month for the 1st three months and you would receive 18000 avios points, otherwise you could apply for the Premier card which would give 30 000 avios points and a worldwide companion ticket if you spent £15000.00 within the year (plus an annual fee).
As soon my duo credit cards arrived I contacted both Lloyds and Avios to confirm all would be ok and double checked the terms and conditions as to the small print. Again I re-confirmed this several times between Feb-April 2013 and was advised by both companies that I had met the spend and therefore would receive the 18000 avios after the 3 month period, of which Lloyds TSB would send across a voucher to avios to credit my account.
Now that 6 months have passed I have contacted both Avios and Lloyds TSB on several occasions to query where my missing miles are, only to be now told that I was never entitled to them in the beginning as there was no such offer. Futhermore do I have any evidence??
To add further insult, the offer is currently being advertised on both websites currently.
Kindly advise

You mention the terms. If it is explicitly stated there, send them a photocopy -- that should resolve it fairly quickly.0

Many thanks for your response, but I read the terms and conditions online, therefore Lloyds TSB are disputing the fact that they ever had the offer.0

Found an old article online.

Which suggests the offer existed (well at least in Feb 2013).0 -
Could be to do with the specifics re: stupid rules for this promo? see link (thanks to raffles)

I believe all of the spend must be done on the Amex, not VISA card. Is that the case?0
