AVIOS/LLOYDS TSB Scam!

Dear All,

Can anyone help me, back in January 2013, Martin Lewis's team posted on a weekly email, how to receive BA/avios points from BA/ Lloyds TSB credit cards.

Both Avios and Lloyds TSB clearly advertised (on their separate sites)that if you applied for a credit card by April 2013, and you met the eligible spend you would receive the entitled points.

Now if you applied for the duo card, you had to spend £500 a month for the 1st three months and you would receive 18000 avios points, otherwise you could apply for the Premier card which would give 30 000 avios points and a worldwide companion ticket if you spent £15000.00 within the year (plus an annual fee).

As soon my duo credit cards arrived I contacted both Lloyds and Avios to confirm all would be ok and double checked the terms and conditions as to the small print. Again I re-confirmed this several times between Feb-April 2013 and was advised by both companies that I had met the spend and therefore would receive the 18000 avios after the 3 month period, of which Lloyds TSB would send across a voucher to avios to credit my account.

Now that 6 months have passed I have contacted both Avios and Lloyds TSB on several occasions to query where my missing miles are, only to be now told that I was never entitled to them in the beginning as there was no such offer. Futhermore do I have any evidence??

To add further insult, the offer is currently being advertised on both websites currently.

Kindly advise :(
