First thank you for visiting this thread hopefully you can help me with my ongoing issues and give advise.
I took out a credit card with natwest around 4-5 years ago, after a while mainly because i was young and naive i missed 3 payments on the card. I called Natwest and paid the missed payments, but as this point the advisor said i had defaulted! understandably i was upset, angry so i though 'whats the point' around 8 months later i received a credit card statement, so i called natwest again and the handler tried passing me though to another team, i asked has my account defaulted? they advised 'YES IT WAS PASSED LAST WEEK' i could not believe this. I asked for the call recording which the manager confirmed i was told incorrect information when i last called 8 months ago.
I was then relieved and because of the debt it was only £1200.00 then convinced me to go on a plan, i thought get on the plan, then because i was misadvised i would be put into the position i was before! WRONG!
I have complained numerous times becuase on experian it shows my account 'delinquent/defaulted' state and my complaint was that this be taken off, and my account be back to normal, Natwest have since sent me letters saying the default was removed (it was only an internal one anyway) but they will not give me advise implications of the plan....
I complained to Obusmen as well but natwest confirmed again default was removed.
Going into my experian account im 840 in fair, but my agreement plan on my credit report is incorrect. every month i pay £50.00 and i have never missed any payments, but every month experian says in red 'recently missed payments' and always shows on my report as 1-1-1-1-1-1-11- when really they should be all 0-0-0-0-0 so to speak? i again have called natwest card services and they will not give me a straight answer, they will not put me into a manager, and just said its because i missed payments on my original card... this week me and my partner are looking at mortgages but my report says 12 missed payments in the last 12 months, and 1 account overdue? this is not the case - natwest confirmed to me yesterday i have never missed a payment on my new agreement.
so i do not understand why every month is says late payment and my account for the last year always one payment behind?
I do have the funds now to pay off all the balance, but is there anything i can do with why this is showing as late payments.
on my actual report i have printed it says 'agreement' with the natwest card.
Please can anyone give me help, or advise about these payments why there not showing as upto date?
Also at the moment do you think i would be in a position to apply for a mortgage?
thanks Joe

Your payments are late because they should have been paid 4 - 5 years ago! The fact that you were given incorrect information does not change the fact that you should have been making payments towards your debt - default or not, you were still liable.
I would forget looking for a mortgage until you have paid this debt off. Even then you may struggle, as your payment history will be pretty trashed.0 -
I know and admit i should have not missed a few payments on the credit card, the reason why i intially did not pay all of the balance because i wanted to see what the outcome of this 'default' and see what natwest were going to respond with. And because i have not got any results with them, i just continued with the payment plan.
What i would like to know is why are all my payments which im making on time showing as late?0 -

They are not on time - they were due several years ago.
Take this as a lesson learned - banks do not mess around, you need to be proactive, not wait to see what their next move will be.0 -
I have been to the branch and there are now going to speak with card services,
i have also rang experian and they seen to think its because im one payment behind on my original agreement (card services said im upto date)
I dont know RBS called and said they do not lend to anyone on agreeement.....
I know i have just let myself downi am going to pay this all off next week, then not sure how long before i could apply, or go to another lender, im not sure?

Try saving before spending for a while. Will do your credit rating a power of good. Not paying interest will see your money go far further as well.0 -
i have nothing on credit really its only 750.00 on the arrangement
only my mobile phone contract, i have saved 15k as well so just dissapointing - might still try a few lenders see what they say, back to the drawing board, thanks for all your help
