Tiny yellow marks on washing

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help on the below.
I've been noticing for a number of months, that I am getting little yellow marks on clothes/other washed items.
Now I know it's not the iron because I've also found them on the bed sheet and white bras etc that I don't iron.
My washer/dryer is quite new - installed in January - so I can't say it's the machine losing its effectiveness or something like that. I'm flummoxed by this. They aren't large marks, literally just 1mm or so but especially on white items, it's ruining them bit by bit.
Does anyone know why this might be, or experienced the same themselves and figured it out?
Thanks

Check inside the rubber door seal for any rusty metal pins etc. Also, empty out the filter while you're at it!

The filter is usually located under a panel or flap at the bottom front of the washing machine.

I shall take a look at that ta, but it should not be something like that so early on, only been in place six months and I noticed this about 3 months ago so it seems so quick to develop problems. Anyway, I'll take a look.

If any pins or metal items have been left in clothing/pockets, they may deposit inside the rubber door seal. You just gently pull it back to check. No need to remove it completely.

Usually, yellow/orange marks would be indicative of bearings on their way out. In your case, the machine is only 7 months old, so this shouldn't be the case.

Hi I did check the seal but nothing untoward. Some fluff and dirt but nothing that made me say 'A-ha!'
