Sat Nav recommendations?
Options
I don't know if this is the right place to post this question...
I start a new job in Sept involving driving. I have never owned nor used a Sat Nav. Basically would like a recommendation for the cheapest, most user friendly and fool proof one available - if someone would be so kind?
Thank you.

I have always found Tomtom real simple and easy to use.
Do you own a smart phone? there are plenty of Apps that do navigation for most smartphones that are the cheapest option. Only need to buy a car charger and dash/windscreen mount then...0 -
I use a TomTom Start 20 & love it. So easy to use and the lane guidance feature is so useful at complicated motorway junctions!
Currently costs around £90 which I don't think is too bad.
Sat Nav's are much like mobile phones though, different people like different brands & what suits one person won't necessarily suit another.
You could always go into Halfords & try a few different ones, see which you like.0 -
We have a Tomtom GoLive 1005 - its really good, and no probs at all !ORIGINAL MORTGAGE AMOUNT £106,454.00 (Started Sept 2007)

TomTom all the way. And they have an offer for free map updates worth £79 until 31st July on selected models. Got a Start 25 from Tesco recently for less than £80.0

That is the way to go, all the features of a satnav and then some. PLUS you don't have to pay for upgrades.0 -
I agree with TomTom recommendations; I've used lots of different Sat Nav brands and find them the most user friendly.0
