Royal Mail 24 Tracked?

I bought an eBay items on Sunday, paid extra for the 24 service. I got notified yesterday it had been dispatched along with a tracking number, when I checked the tracking it said something like "We have been notified of the item and will scan once we collect" all well and good. I checked today and its in some mail centre in Swansea. Is the 24 service not supposed to be 24hr mean delivery today or is the tracking inaccurate?

It should be delivered today. Perhaps the tracking has not caught up yet.

Is this by RM SD or PF Express 24? The 24 may be 48 depending on where you live.

It sounds like RMT24, which is a business service. It isn't guaranteed but is usually very reliable.

Try checking at https://www.royalmail.com/trackdetails.

RMT48 and RMT24 usually track one scan behind themselves, so it is probably saying 'en route to delivery office' when actually it is there awaiting scan to 'out for delivery'.
