Thank you everyone who answered post re museums. We are going to Museum of Childhood, on Wednesday we have decided. That is at Bethnal Green and after we would like to take kids on river cruise , where is it best to pick that up? About an hour, hour and a half would be enough the children are 5,7 and 8. We need to end up later in the day in St James Park area as we are having a childrens tea here

We thought we could go into park to mop up any spare time before tea, our tea is five oclock. Where is interesting in park for kids - play area or water...any thoughts? I know there are several possible tube stations, I suppose it will depend where we do cruise from. The hotel is easy reach of St James Park tube station.
everyone on here so helpful, thank you so much

Greenwich to Westminster Pier is a good trip.0

You can use the various Thames Clipper commuter services if you want, rather than a tourist 'cruise'. The views are exactly the same, just without the rather tedious commentary. No free lunch, and no free laptop

We went on the clipper from tower hill and got off at Westminster. The driver kindly gave a tour guide which was hilarious, he's sense of humour is brilliant. Also when u book if you have a valid train ticket you only pay for one adult, £17 I believe. Hth"sealed pot challenge" member 082 6-£450 7 £860 banked :staradmin :staradmin

Also, if clipper, likewise.
Sorry to want to be spoonfed, I just haven't allowed enough time to sort all this properly!!0 -

Details of clippers here

you can get 2-4-1 on their all day 'river roamer' tickets (adults £15) with the train tickets offer here

(with these, I'd just get on and travel all the way to the o2 and back to Embankment.....)
alternatively there is a 2-4-1 on the City Cruises trips here
