Nice family hotels in Dublin

Off to Ireland for a week in the summer and intend to have a couple of nights at a hotel in Dublin.
So any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Also hotels and B&Bs on the south and south east coast, would also be appreciated.
Daughter is 14 and son is 12, if that helps.

We stayed at the Jurys Christchurch Inn over half term. Main reason being that we wanted to be central/walking distance to everything and be able to veg/couch potato/drop off shopping when we wanted to.
The hotel has a cafe and separate restaurant. We only had breakfast there and it was included in the rate. Breakfast was hot and cold and was nice, especially the croissants.
The rooms are essentially a glorified Premier Travel Inn, although the room was starting to show signs of wear and tear. Our family room had a double bed and a sofabed. I was forced to use the sofabed and it was comfortable enough. Depends if your children are willing to share a bed?The man without a signature.0 -

We have had some great help through the Anoieg the Youth Hostelling Association. You don't have to be a youth ( Belieeeeeve me!) Have just booked private en suite rooms all round Ireland as we are touring, including Dublin. Unbelievably reasonable and Dubin has free car park. Also keeps the cost down as you can self cater if you want or they have decent meals. My children have loved it all through their teens and we are still going. One aged 13 and the other 18+ Getting very cosy now though........but a lot of freedom.

We have used this place a couple of times and been delighted. It is within walking distance of everything in the central area and they do a very good full Irish breakfast. It is also on the bus route (#41) from the airport which is very convenient.

I'd recommend doing a search on venere.com - really helpful website with lots of good maps/reviews, and reasonable prices too (which you also don't have to pay in advance)
Plus for 4% off, use code: BK5HX8W
I think it's a good idea to check out this website even if you find hotels cheaper elsewhere, as the descriptions and maps are generally better than other sites in my opinion.
Hope that helps
PS - I don't gain anything from this post. And I found the discount code on another forum.0
