I am excited about the World Cup, despite England's chances (or lack of), some extra loyalty points would be a bonus.

Though I expect you're more interested in the outcome of a certian game on Saturday to start with!

    Agreed.

Any extra loyalty points (or similar * ) from anywhere are always welcome.

I think England might do far better than most expect.

And Saturday is definitely weighing on my mind.
    VERY nervous about it.
Far more than last time in 2007 against West Brom

*Not from LOYALTY points but I'm using RSH "FREE" train travel to get there.
Acquired :D some £10 e-voucher codes from their TV promotion back in March that need using before 31st May - so timing is perfect :)

Now, apart from the match/result itself, all I've got to worry about is whether there is going to be a TUBE STRIKE   this weekend and I'm stranded at Euston and can't get to & from Wembley (without spending a fortune). Timings are already rather :eek:TIGHT:eek: for these short hops across London as it stands even if there isn't one

Yeah it's not looking good from a tube strike perspective, I had to travel across London last weekend and was lucky no action was planned.

I'd genuinely consider running from Euston to Marylebone if necessary (15 mins maybe?) so long as you can make the 14.39 you'd be OK I reckon:

    Thanks very much for this.

(Apologies to everyone for this being off topic - but this is very useful)

However :eek:RUNNING:eek: is not an option - an old "war wound" means that's just not possible.

Right so Marylebone to Wembley this way is NOT using the Underground ?

In theory I arrive at Euston at 13:46

Ah, I see, it's a Chiltern Railways service.
Is London OVERGROUND the same (or similar) in that it will run even if the tube doesn't?

If it is, do you (or know someone that does) know WATFORD JUNCTION station very well ?

I could "sneak off" my train there about 15 minutes earlier and there is an Overground service to Wembley Central.

Would need to know IF I can get from Platform 6,7,8 or 9 to Platform 1,2,3 or 4 without going through a ticket barrier.

    Any idea?

Regards getting from Euston to Marylebone, Is a BORIS BIKE any option? Believe you can get one for 30 minutes use FREE of charge.
I don't mind cycling and presume that would make it just 10 minutes-ish ?

    Cheers

Tube strike now called off, in case you hadn't heard.

    No I'd not heard.

Nothing just a few minutes ago on the BBC "national" news at 1am and couldn't find anything with a Google "News" search about 20 minutes ago.

    Hope you are right.
Where/when did you hear about it?

    Thanks for the good wishes
