2 points for playing 70 minutes x 12 = 24 points per match

38 matches per season = 912 points

This leaves 588 to obtain by other scoring methods ...

... over 38 matches is UNDER 16 points per match (15.47)

And it is possible to get 15 17 points for keeping a clean sheet

I'll give this one a go, but know nothing about Footie! I just made it over 500 points for wimbledon, and the F1 has been a no-brainer as far as getting up to £15. I think RSH may have learnt their lesson from that one! I'll be following this thread with interest for any tips lol.
I'm quite tempted to chose goalies who are NOT playing as if they let goals in it's minus points - have I got that right?!

But a goalie that doesn't play doesn't score 2 playing points for being on the field for 70 minutes

IF they keep a CLEAN SHEET and don't let any goals in, you'd get an extra 3, making 5 for the appearance.

Even if he concedes a goal (minus 1) he would still be UP by 1 point

and conceding 2 (-2) puts him back to 0,which would be the same as not appearing at all

You're only worse off (than having a NON playing keeper) is if they concede 3 or more goals.

Trouble is, I don't have the Footie knowledge, and knowing my luck I'd probably pick a goalie who lets in lots of goals

The clue is in the prices. It's pretty much impossible to get minus points, if a keeper keeps a clean sheet they'd have to conceed eight in the next game to go below zero.

There is a "pick random team" function if you prefer.

I do the random thing & then do a couple of tweaks. I would always choose the goalkeeper from a top team to lessen the chance of negative points.

I went for Joe Hart, probably would have scored high if this had been run last season.

He really should lose points for those hair adverts though. :eek:
