paid for a hotel now company claim that the hotel cannot accept us

Hi
A brief one which I am after some advice.
We booked a hotel on the 7th july for 3 nights and payment was taken. Now for a week they are claiming they cannot get our room yet i've just checked their website and they have doubled the price and excluded the park tickets as well.
Do I stick to my guns and demand my room that I have paid for or are they trying to pull the wool over us??
It doesn't help that their call centre seems in china.....
