Neighbours food odors vent directly into my back yard

Hi everyone, my neighbours food smells vent directly into my back yard and I have to close my back door and window when they use their extractor fan. This has been very annoying, but I've put up with it to avoid confrontation and to maintain a good relationship with them. However I now plan to build a conservatory and their vent will be in the way of the building, has anyone got any suggestions how I can solve this problem with the least hassle and no falling out with the neighbours, thank you.

Is their kitchen wall the boundary between the two properties?0

Could you perhaps look to fit some kind of ducting kit to vent the smells away, preferably to higher up, or back into their yard...?0

Actually you can if its causing a nuisance to you but you'll need to go through the EHO at the Council if you haven't been able to have a sensible conversation with the neighbour and reached an agreeable accommodation.
Cheers
Domestic odours are exempt from nuisance legislation so the EHO won't have any enforcement powers.0 -

Yes,our houses are staggered so their kitchen wall forms part of my yard. I can't post a photo because lm a newbie. The vent idea sound good as long as it doesn't cost me a fortune. l'm quite interested to know if l have a right to ask them to move it and f it's wrong of them to have done that in the first place, but this is just curiosity, like l say, l don't want any trouble or falling out, that would be awful, thanks for replies everyone :-)0

you could just ask them to cook something you like the smell ofI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
I'd be leaning a nice fence panel in front of it.I am the Cat who walks alone0

Invite them around for a cup of tea and discuss an amicable solution.
That must be easier and cheaper than involving the council and "EHO officers"!0
