Lovely thought but just imagine the sort of things people would come up with, not all of them would be true I expect.

Niftythrifty that's a very trusting and generous thought but as others have said potentially open to all sorts of abuse and unlikely to be allowed - also it's my own fault for mis managing my finances so badly in the last few years that I don't have money put aside - dad is currently v heavily sedated as he is bit confused and keeps trying to get out of bed- with 2 small children I can't go over indefinitely so nurses and doctors have suggested i wait until he is a bit more with it. So Am monitoring all the links and possible routes so hopefully will find something not too crippling when the time comes to go over ( will be trying for an emergency/bereavement discount as suggested with AA too but can only do this when I know for sure the dates I will travel)
