BA fly LCY to Angers ANE saturdays, can you get to LCY for 7am Saturday?
BA fly ANE to LCY saturdays, you'd have to be at ANE Angers airport for 9am, would you be losing too much time at the end of the holiday?
BA fly LHR to Paris Orly ORY airport, could you hire a car or get the train from near there to Parcay Les pins?
Would it be much cheaper to book the Paris Saumur train part bit on https://www.voyages-sncf.com ?
Ryanair fly Tours TUF to STN on Fridays, you'd have to be there at about 3.30pm would you be losing too much time at the end of the holiday?
Ryanair fly STN to Poitiers PIS on sundays at 7.25, you'd have to be there at about 5.25am ish, would you be losing too much time at the start of the holiday?
I think you just need to sit down and go through the options and pick the best for you.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Thanks I am half way there, I have booked the return journey. Tours to LCY on the Friday. £100 for the two of us. Family have to be out of the accommodation by 10am sat morning so no great loss in time.
I just need to work out how to get there. Probably fly to paris then i like the look of that voyages-sncf you suggest.
Does anyone know if flights to Paris get cheaper nearer the time or is it best to book early sooner rather than later. Same question with Eurostar. :T0 -

Eurostar won't get any cheaper now.
As for flights, leaving the UK on a Saturday is the most expensive, I'd book now, otherwise you're going to end up paying a lot more in total than the £276 all in train fare I found for you.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Thanks for your help everyone I endeed up flying to Paris £260, coach to a train station tehn a train to another trainstation tehn a train to Tours. THE latter was for !35 on teh site recommended on here.
I then flew back on a Fridy from Tours to Stanstead and got a coach for the two of us for £37.50 to Heathrow where we were picked up.
I hadnt thought about that last part of the journey and may have been able to do it cheaper if I'd booked in advance.
Incidentally we had a lovely holiday, and the travelling to and from there was relatively 'exciting' for my daughter as it was all fairly short stints.
She even said 'bonjour' to the ticket inspector!0 -
