Merlin Monthly Pass

Hi
Does anyone have the new merlin monthly pass that has just started? I am thinking about getting a merlin pass for me and my hubby but dont want to pay a large amount up front if i dont have too
I have been looking online but there seems very little info about it (just this article - http://www.towersstreet.com/talk/merlin-parks-and-attractions/merlin-membership-pass/ ) and the few comments on the merlin fb page mention problems with using it due to it not having an expiry date
Has anyone here tried it yet?
