i much prefer avast, have used it for years and its never slowed my (128 ram) laptop down and the updates are much quicker. the only time ive ever noticed it going slow is when its actually updating, which seems to take around a minute a dayFr. imo its much much quicker than avg, especially with the updates, and it has always found and blocked/deleted instantly anything nasty trying to get on the comp. ive had norton, asquared, avg etc and i much prefer avastFr. ok thanks guys!! just one more thing, my AVG, used to do a scan every morning, does this do the same, or do you have to do a scan yourself?0

I use Avast which is very good but I also have A Squared free on comp and use that to run a backup scan about once a week just for my own peace of mind. It's always wise to run a backup every now and then and A Squared doesn't conflict with Avast when I run it.0

You hear so many different things of ppl. just talking to a friend, and she don't use anything! yet she downloads films, etc.. seems to think cause she has a wireless router, its safer!!??0 -
hmm wait till she gets a virus encoded into a music or movie file and has to pay to get her PC repaired which is usually more expensive than the CD or DVD that was downloading.:: No Unauthorised Links in Signatures please - FM ::0
