Hi

I have had all the usual letters from Roxbourge and Graham White threatening me, this was for My Daughter parking up at Liverpool Airport on double yellow,the Man in the white van came and told her she could not park there and directed her to where she could, although they had already taken her picture. I am the registered keeper so i am getting all the letters. This morning i have had a phone call from Roxbourge stating i owe £160- i just said to take me to court as it was not me driving and i have not had a letter asking me if i was. have i done the right thing ?

Yes, pretty much. If you've got to the fake solicitor stage you're too late to appeal. I wouldn't bother discussing anything with Poxburghe, they are toothless, worthless bullies who have no power to do anything. If they 'phone again, either hang up or state "the debt is denied, you are now required to refer the matter back to your principal", and then hang up.

The alternative is to shop your daughter to VCS. Sounds horrible I know, but if you do this they will have to issue her a Notice to Driver, which will give her the chance to appeal with a strong likelihood of success at PoPLA.

Either name the driver - name and address - to VCS (not to the middleman debt collector rubbish firm) so that she can have fun beating them at POPLA at their expense (which is what you should have done, not ignored). Or when Poxy Roxy next phone up read out the 'debt is denied' stuff as per bazster's advice so they have to send it back to VCS.
