I'm new to this forum but I'm looking for some advice!

I'm still staying at home and I'm trying to sort out my credit rating and debts to clear (about 8k). I've never missed a payment to my loans and I'm paying them on time, can I affect my parents credit rating?

Any help would be appreciated to ease my worry!

No. Credit files are specific to an individual, not an address.

Thanks, the reason I ask is my parents and my brother who also stays at home have both had trouble getting credit checked lately, parents were at the bank and brother for a phone contract (he was succesful in the end) I hoping its not down to me. I hope I'm worrying over nothing but just need to be sure!

You can only impact others if you have a joint account with them. Check your files to make sure everything looks OK.

Thanks, I've never had a joint account and my status on my current account is living with parents. I'm not clued up on this sort of thing and a worrier so thanks for the replies.
