I am so very lucky to live where I do, sweltering down here so just went for a swim in the sea, lovely cooling breeze, took my flask, home made cake and a book and air dried whilst eating, drinking and reading.

Take care those of you who suffer the this heat.

MIA for a few days, but we have had a very busy weekend sorting out clutter so that we can do a car boot next weekend and make a few squid. I have stopped giving to charity shops since all of them seem to have put their prices through the roof

Had the school barbecue on Saturday night and we had a good time, everyone laughed when DD phoned to see if we had our key because they were going to bed :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Podiatry clinic this morning and I have to go back in two weeks, so the first week in August, bit of a pain that because I now have FIL's birthday on the 1st, hospital on the 5th, podiatry on 7th, London hospital on the 8th, Dniece's wedding on the 10th another hospital appointment on 15th and DD's birthday on the 21st :eek::eek:

Blood test came back, kidneys. liver. iron, etc are all fine and it looks like my sugar is now under control :j

Molly the workers never seem to get the glory that they deserve do they? I am already sick of the whole thing and she hasn't popped the sprog out yet.

Done lots of washing this afternoon and it cotton stuff has been drying within an hour it is that hot out there.

We are supposed to be having storms tomorrow, but I will believe that when I see it, the Met office are not a reliable source of good forecasting, so I will pop over to see what Piers Corbyn has to say, he is much more reliable.

Right I had better go and pick a cucumber, some salad leaves and tomatoes for dinner tonight.

blazingly hot today and very uncomfortable .Even picking mikey up from school at 3.30 was an effort as I had to get out of my air-conned car :):) and the heat hit like a hammer. It was 33c at 4.00 this afternoon not nice at all.I have large fans in my study, bedroom and sitting room and they go on where ever I am.I think I must have drunk about 5 pints of water today to rehydrate a bit.I am hoping it will break a bit tomorrow Its not even nice to sit under a brolly in this heat, still this is the UK so at least it won't last for long
hope everyone remembered their cream today don't need any nasty spots occuring anywhere.
Cheers chums I am going to have a cheese salad for dinner tonight I'm just too hot to cook anything

All this hype about the royal birth and a safe pair of hands - the obstetrician. No bloomin mention of the midwife:eek::eek::eek:
Don't get me wrong, I'm delighted with the royal birth, but the media claptrap all day long drove me mad.
There was a 45 word statement at 6am which was dissected, rehashed, twisted and turned all day long to try and keep it interesting. Goodness sake people know it normally takes hours for a baby to be born, why couldn't the news staff go and find some real news stories?

    Evening all,

Hope everyone is as well as can be and not melting with the heat!

I'm lurking again because I'm in need of good ideas and support. I've got to get some willpower or something resembling it.
Having done my move to a city - Brum instead of London though - I've learned that I prefer the people's republic of North Wales but I've given it a crack and we've finally figured that I should quit making excuses and go do what I've always wanted to do.
So I'm packing up my little attic at my auntie's house and preparing for the move back and an application to the School of Nursing at Bangor. :)

Very exciting but scary cakes so I've worked out the finances today and I'm going to scour the boards to find more tips on scaling everything back so that I can save up for the next year. If anyone has any smart ideas they're particularly proud of, please send them my way as I'd be right grateful.
