Student bank account for mature student?

Thanks for that Chameleon but unfortunately I applied, and paid, for my NUS card about an hour before!! BUT, I only paid for the year so will check this out again towards the end of the first year.

I am a mature student in the final year of study and got a 4 year rail card from the Lincoln branch of santander. The rail card is for any full time student, it will save me 100s of pounds over the four years.

Now that I have it I may join lloyds for the nus card.
