Ritek lets see.......started off making decent quality discs. Then once they had grabbed peoples attention they started producing rubbish discs. What was once one of the most popular discs dyes is now just average.

Well if you read any of the posts at disqworld you would see that Ritek dye (even on datasafe and datawrite brands) is not very highly rated any more.

I had some Datasafe branded G04 discs from last year and they have been fine but reading the views on disqworld it appears that the quality of Ritek dye has declined since then. So rather than risk burning coasters I now tend to pay that bit more and just buy Verbatim.

There is a bitter rivalry between the two main distrubutors of media in the UK.
Most of the forums are sponsered or owned by one of the 2 camps. The people who frequent the forums of each, often venture outside to badmouth the others products and supporters. Khizman, is firmly in the Conrexx/Rambox/CDfreaks camp, look for his previous posts to confirm this. Clearly I am a supporter of the opposition. The Mods on CDFreaks are so biased that other members are freely allowed to flame/insult and even stalk me, something that would not normally be allowed on other forums (including disqworld)
So I ask the same question, Khizman, how much is cdfreaks and Richard Wong paying you?

But back on topic, I use
Datasafe Dvd-r 8x printable CMC MAG AE1 at £4 for 25 from SVP (burn fine at 12x)
Verbatim Dvd+r 8x hub printable MCC 003, also from SVP at 50 for £25

I very rarely use Ritek of any discription after 50+ of my ritek G04 printables went bad after less than a year. I have no reason to think the new G05s will do this but once bitten as they say.

how about this then,
lets screw both companies since they both very obviously have dodgy business practices, even SVP
and just buy Verbs
personally i have recently used Traxdata Riteks, Fuji's, verbs and those TY from SVP.
I think i am gonna stick to verbs, fuji and TY now
