charlie12........
"SVP have a 99p shipping offer on at the moment, minimum order is £30 but there's no harm in stocking up They sell verbatim discs for around 31p each, and some good quality cheaper brands also."......like the brand I mentioned initially ( Infiniti ) except £1.20 dearer and you have to spend £30 to qualify for the cheap carriage.
I like and use SVP myself when approp. but not to the exclusion of everywhere else, although I take on board the warnings on customer service from others.
BTW everwhere offers 1yr guarantee on new products, its the law.0 -

You're totally right, the only reason I mentioned SVP in this instance was because of the 99p shipping offer - there are many good media suppliers out there.
Regarding LordOftheDeals - if their items are indeed guaranteed, I highly doubt that the guarantee is anywhere near the quality of other suppliers. eg. SVP.0 -

As any guarantees or warrantees are in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer, it's debatable whether it is the Law, the 12 months is a convention that has been generally accepted by sellers and buyers, for convenience but to my knowledge, it isnt laid down or specified in any legislation.
Usually it boils down to what is considered "reasonable" , but there is no defintion as to what reasonable is, so if disputed , this have to ultimately be decided by a Judge in the Small Claim Court on a case by case basis..0 -
bigman3 wrote:Buying cheap DVD media is usually a false economy. The dyes used on such discs are usually of very low quality and whilst the disc may work for a few months you will slowly start to get errors on them to the point they cannot be played in DVD players. If anyone doubts view this read the reviews/comments at the https://www.disqworld.net forums
Best to pay a few pounds more for a decent branded disc like Verbatim.
DISQWORLD? YOU ARE JOKING!
Disqworld reviews are very biased towards enet brands (datawrite, datasafe, bulkpaq etc) purely because they are owned by them!!!
i.e "datasafe" own disqworld, they are not independant nor are dvdrecordable, i would only trust https://www.cdfreaks.com0 -

Not biased as far as I can see. Have you actually bothered to read any reviews. There are enough posts on the forums slating Bulqpaq, Datawrite and Datasafe dvd media and others promoting Verbatim which is not an enet brand. Do a quick search on the forums for bulkcrap and you will find enough reviews where users have slated bulkpaq media. :eek:0 -
SVP all the way! They are daddy's!0

I love your post, are you seriously telling me you don't know cdfreaks is owned by Conrexx. So they aren't biased, how come their main sponsors are a Conrexx "shop" called RAMBOX. Go look at the RAMBOX products, all supplied by Conrexx (with a few bought in "foreigners" to make it look more believable)0 -

THANK YOU SARAH 98 APPEARS THAT KHIZMAN HAS SHOT HIMSELF IN THE FOOT.
Ritek lets see.......started off making decent quality discs. Then once they had grabbed peoples attention they started producing rubbish discs. What was once one of the most popular discs dyes is now just average.0
