Hi someone sent me a payment today and they said because they added me as a new payee the money will be in my account tomorrow.

Im just wondering what time the payment will be in my account. I think there with natwest and im with halifax. And the amount is under £100

Any help is much appreciated.

Sorry I mean they sent from natwest and they said its a new payee and will be in tomorrow. Not sure if it was a faster payment but I assume so.

Faster payments are usually instant or within about 2 hours in my experience.

I know there instant but with natwest you have to add a new payee and it takes time to set up I think

Setting up a new payee and sending money to them can be done within a couple of minutes at Natwest.

Not necessarily a lie. From what I remember, if you make a phone banking payment from a NatWest account to a new payee, it's delayed until the next working day for security reasons.

Chances are, early tomorrow morning is when it'll be sent.

JJ's comment mirrors my experience with Natwest.
  • I my case it took them about 2.5 hours to get money. They used Online Payment Processing . But as far as know this system is not suitable for America.
