Skirting - where to buy?

Can someone pls help me?

I am looking for chamfered skirting for a part of my living room. It has to match with the rest, so it has to be 120mm in width (breadth).

I've looked up on wickes, bq, homebase - all their skirting is 94mm.

1. Rest of the skirting is wood. Will mdf look bad with it?
2. Where else should I be looking if I want to buy it from a shop rather than online?
3. Are all chamfered types have the same design measurements?

I'm worried about the design match. Are all chamfered skirtings of the same design measurements? As in where it begins to slope etc - is that standard?

No there will be variations in chamfer, even different batches from the same company can be slightly different

You should be. The only way you'll ever match it perfectly is take a sample to your local timber merchant and get them to make you some to the measurements of the sample. Even their OTS stuff won't match and forget, yes totally, forget any idea that you can get something to suit from a shed.

Your alternative is to strip the whole lot out of the room concerned and refit with stuff you can buy from a shed that will be uniform (but probably won't - I can guarantee it certainly won't be straight :D)

and never believe the stock stated by the interwebby thingy - its always at least 24 hours behind the stores and actually don't believe what the instore computer says either. Thats usually a work of fiction too and the product is only there once you eyeball what you want.
