PCN - notice of intended court action letter

Help - what should I do next?
Issued with a PCN by JD Parking back in February - for parking on a stretch of road (on a Sunday on a fairly regular basis) with no road markings - did not even indicate that it was a 'private' road. There was a printed sign pinned onto a piece of timber on opposite side of the road on some wasteland - as I parked next to a path 10 metres or so away I did not believe it was relevant to me - was I being naive??
I have since received some notification letters chasing the charge (2 copies each time sent individually), and now a 'Notice of intended court action' - should I continue to ignore it?

Yes. Too late for anything else now and probably won't come to anything.0

What you can do is go on the web and research the DOT standards for signs notices and locations for such parking restrictions to be constituted lawful . If not in compliance take photographs

It'd highly unlikely to go anywhere near a court, did they put a ticket on your car or was it through the post ? If through the post did they give it within 14 days? If on the car did they give you the notice to keeper within 56 days?
ThanksWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

JD Parking, never come across those before.
Anyhow, if they are foolish enough to do court, a well-written defence about the lack of signage saying it's a private road and that you couldn't park, yet alone the lack of damages suffered by the landowner (which will most likely be a big fat zero)0 -

Hmmmm...did that letter come from a debt collector (ignore it) or from the Parking company themselves (treat it as a Letter before Claim and acknowledge, tear it apart, then respond).

HTH
You took the words out of my mouth Coupon-mad!
OP if this is a letter from the parking company marked with 'letter before action' (usually in big red letters) please do not ignore it, that's the worst thing you can do. Read the above thread for guidance and then start your own thread for assistance.
If the letter is from debt collectors, that's different, you can go ahead and ignore them.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
The letter came from Debt Recovery Plus Ltd. No threats of action written in red!!!0
