Change House extension plans.

Our house extension plans have been approved but have now decided we want to put an extra window in the rear extension.
We are not overlooked by any house at the rear and under permitted development rights we could put the extra window in but as we have had plans approved (needed as also getting a side extension) what are our options ?/

Contact the planners and ask them, as long as it's not a side window there shouldn't be a problem.0

You should be able to get a minor amendment passed by the planning department, they can authorise these without going through full planning applications.
Ring them and ask their process (each council does it differently). At the end you’ll get a letter stating that your amendment is approved (or not) that you can add to the bundle of paper for when you sell.
FYI a council near me, charges £28 for each change, and requires a written request, with a few simple diagrams.0 -
As Post 3. What you can't do (as you may be implying although I'm not actualy sure you are) is alter the spec of the rear part of the build on the grounds that that bit would be permitted development anyway because once you introduced the side extension the works have to be considered as a whole. If I've waffled unecessarily please feel mfree to say so.
