Force of habit, being the mother of my children and all. Although what that has to do with this I'm not sure.

I am sure it is force of habit, but if it comes to an interview (maybe an interview under caution) and you are STILL calling your ex your partner, it's not going to look great, is it? Better to break the habit now.
  • I see what you mean.

Quick update. Went to the citizens advice this morning and spoke to a nice lady there. Went through all my incomes and out goings from the band again. She then advised me to go see someone from the housing benefit. Saw. Really nice lady there who told me what was going on. There is an overpayment of just over £6000 which they are recovering at £15 a week and no further action is to be taken. I will be appealing this as obviously due to my stupidity my outgoings are not included in anything.

For any overpayment, we must consider underlying entitlement.

If you provide the income, they will calculate what benefit you would've been entitled to. It might clear the o/p in full.

Google it for a bit more explanation!
I currently manage a Housing Benefit service and have been working in Housing / council tax benefit (as was) since 2001.
