Hello,
I have recently started a new job as an estate agent, and need to get some new car insurance. Does anyone know what type of car insurance I would require, bearing in mind I would probably need to cover passengers in the car should I have an accident?
Any help much appreciated.

What cover do you need for passengers? Will the passengers just be work colleagues or customers?
Assuming it isnt customers then Class 1 business should be fine as it covers driving for business to places other than your main place of work. The TP cover would provide protection for passengers in the event of a fault accident. For non-fault then you and they would need to claim from the Third Party and if you have Legal Expenses the insurer will assist for you and all in your vehicle.
I am not sure if you'd get away with Class 1 if you are carrying customers even though you are not being directly paid by them for the transportation.
Note that some insurers do exclude business use for people in the estate agency profession.0 -
the passengers will be customers too, this is where I am unsure how to cover them. I think I will be going for comprehensive cover too as the car is worth over £1500. thanks for your advice so far.0

Ask your employer what cover they require you to have.0

they require the passengers to be covered should I be in an accident whilst driving them to/from viewings.0
