Let's blame Google and ISPs for others' crimes

Where is the evidence that any of these awful offences would not have taken place if internet !!!!!! didn't exist? They've taken place for years, reporting of them is so unreliable that we can't compare figures historically.

Most child !!!!!! is so hidden that regular joe will never walk amongst it.

Think of the internet as being a city.

You have the topside level where majority of people walk around happy in their "internet bubble". The only "!!!!!!" they look up is celebrity females clothing mishaps, or the Diet coke bare chested males.

Then you go down a level to basement when the wannabe's hang out, the want to hack, want to freedom fight, want to XXX. Those who need a little bit of a shelter from their daily activities.

Down a level and we're on the underground system where people hide out, but are still pretty close to the surface, so examples like Piratebay servers. Their periscope takes them way upto the basement due to isp blocking. So they float between levels. So maybe hardcore adult !!!!!! would be here.

Then you have the sewer dwellers. Where very few people can access. The sewer cap lids have locks on them, and locks for the locks, and you have to know the code, and the code giver has to know you, and you have to know the guy who asks the code and so on...
Where you may have to pay large amounts of money to get in there, where it's dank, and stinking and filled with equally bright evil eyed rats running around, occasionally nodding their head at you. You have to prove yourself to gain access to this spot, you have to bring as good as what you get. This is the level child bestiality and high levelled child !!!!!! is dealt with.

Now this isn't real obviously. the internet isn't a city. But the internet you, or I, or your daughter, or your son, mother, cat, dog, anyone in the normal realms of society will see is the "safe" side. You don't just search and get child !!!!!! back. Forcing google to block is just a waste of space. There would be so little of what is blocked compared to what is still out there.

Take piratebay. It's been bloicked by numerous ISP's now, even my own at one point, though they've had that block removed in the last month or so after an "accidental block by BT again"

But there are ways around it, other sites to gain access to it. Even just googling for example Piratebay top gear s08e01 then selecting a cached site will give you access to an original page and a link to download with. Well gosh darnnit! That block did a whole world of good.

It's just people wanting to look good, and having no real idea, and hoping that the most of people at home also have no real idea so when he says he'll force google to remove kiddie !!!!!! too many will believe it will remove it. It removes a link to it. and/or The link was never there in the first place to remove. The content is stored so deep you would never see it, surf to it

idk, I have some knowledge of the internet outside ooh shiny place to buy and ebay, and reddit and surf for kitten pr0n (Oh god don't report me! LoLcats etc), but I'm not here to sit and be whitewashed on something that is simply not able to be done.

Accused using the excuse as "I viewed it with the aim to reporting it" whilst waiting for a child murder charge to be trialed against them is preposterous. The levels of child !!!!!! in question in any of these cases is not something he just googled. But if the vast majority of the nation believes he googled it and google is evil and therefore must be forced to remove child !!!!!! we're a sad excuse for a humans ability to think and reason.

More so when as I say, and others say Google doesn't host it, doesn't really link to it, and the politicians want your vote desperately because they're clutching at straws and now taking on a cause that will get most people cowering to think their little jonny is exposed to terrible things every time he surfs the internet.

Your 2 year old toddler running around on the beach naked that you think is so cute and snap a picture off, you then upload to your Google+ or Facebook, or maybe you instagram it, or twitter it. That is child !!!!!! to someone who enjoys looking at it. Thing is 99% think it's normal parent/child behaviour. It's sweet! After all, probably the majority of us have shots like that as a kid and it brings back favoured memories of times gone by when having a care didn't exist.

But that picture in the wrong hands is the start of soft child !!!!!!.

The sheer number of parents who do that, and share the picture and just don't realise that half the world can also see that. It's not been taken to be used as child !!!!!!, but it will be used to be child !!!!!! in the wrong hands. It's not an innocent world we live in. Ignorance and apathy is not the world people can grow up in.

Those pictures of me running around naked on the beach when I was a toddler, or older ended up in a physical family album with access to serious boyfriends (groan!) my family, and that's it.
Those pictures taken now end up potentially half way around the world in some dark dank sewer.
Privacy has to come from us, each of us, and learning privacy and teaching it to your kids is a far better method than anything else you could ever do to protect your family and children. If it's not able to be seen, it will never be a part of.

But also as a side note. That picture that you shared with your 467 friends on facebook, it's ok right? you've set it so only your friends can see it right, no one can share it again on facebook, that's set correctly....

As the poster above mentioned, this stuff is out there but is difficult to find. You won't get kiddie !!!!!!/bestiality images by using those terms, but they use completely random strings of words to hide it. Enter those random words in the right search engine and it will point you to the latest (usually hacked) place where it is hidden. The only way to stop that is to ban every random word string, in every language and even across languages.

If I was posting this kind of vile images I would now start using terms such as "Dave Cameron" or "Nick Clegg" as part of the random strings just to get them blocked...

Another issue is that the filter is going to be "per connection". So it is either on for every device in the house, or off for every device - and the first person to connect could choose which one. No discussion of having a watershed system and I've not seen anything about making it device specific.
