I've found it surprisingly good when I've used it.

I'd recommend the op uses a better photo - don't take it at an angle, and trim the image so it's just the picture and no background.

Its a collectable. Its probably over 100 years old. Suspect OP only has the image not the actual item. Bet its from ebay or something like that. RRP????

    Cheers

Um, you are joking, aren't you? It's clearly not actually an antique, it's a modern item designed to give the impression of vintage, shabby chic style. Can't help with where it's from, OP. Sorry :(

Well it would be nice to know exactly how you know that I am so wrong then because it really could be anything. I concede I could well be wrong - I haven't studied it in detail. Could it be that you are too?

I put into google images "postcard carte postale bird green shabby chic" and there's lots of similar items, couldn't see anything exactly the same.

It's simply that that is not the sort of thing that was made 100 years ago. It's a modern take on vintage style, combining a few vintage images and printing it in a distressed style. OH and I frequent an awful lot of auctions and antiques shops, as he buys, restores and sells antique furniture - I see a lot of things like that, particularly in those antiques shops that have branched out into the 'shabby chic' sector, and they're always, always new. It's not an antique.

OK fine thats OK then. but you might have said rather than the "you have to be joking" line. I just took a quick look and thought it was a postcard popped up against something. Thats my fault but we all make mistakes.
