lloyds online saver - Free £10(gross) if deposit £1K

Yep I've had mine 10th or 12th I think.
Is there any point in keeping this account open at all. It wasn't the best payer out there and it didn't even benefit from the July's rate rise....

Anybody any compelling reasons... Even to pay the Lloyds regular saver for 4months, from it, so as to save on the BACS time from an external account

(This is currently running at 8 days per month mind..... 4 from Hi interest, to nominated CA, then another 4 from there.
Although, the new Sains one will let me do it direct, so that's only 4 now. That savings account is almost the top payer out there. Certainly the top payer with the maximum number of facilities attached to it as well as same day/over night transfers to an HBOS account.... )?

I opened my account on 11 June, got a monthly payment on 11 July and a bonus payment on 12 July. Note that I merely paid in £1000 opening deposit (on 13 June actually) and has been drawing it down during the month - there was never any need to keep £1000 in there.

got my 8 pounds yesterday, got 10 pounds from alliance a leicester for using monilink, jus waiting for the 10 pounds from egg for egg money manger.
