PCN issued by TPS @ Tesco

Options
Dear All,
I seek your advice regarding a recently issued “Parking Charge Notice” issued by TPS (Total Parking Solutions) at a free Tesco car park. The ticket was issued for “vehicle being parked on hatched area” which, I know, wasn’t the brightest thing to have done.
Its always the way, seen many others do it, but the time you do…. Charged!
Not in dangerous place, not inconveniencing others, no advantage to me parking there, other than actually finding a ‘space’ during a very busy time as it’s about as far from the front door as possible!
Have read through numerous posts re POPLA route as well….
However, is current advice to ignore?

Seems similar to this post…

So probably got a few months of recycling to do?

Well you obviously haven't read very carefully if you think you are going to be advised to ignore.

Did you get a ticket on the windscreen, and have you received anything in the post (yet)?

  • Having read a number of threads it would appear options have changed, that's what I was checking....
In answer to your question, ticket on windscreen
    And nothing in post

Await Notice to Keeper. To be Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 compliant it should arrive no sooner than 28 days after the event and no later than another 28 days beyond the first 28 days.

In the meantime a few things you need to be doing (or not as may be the case).

First point - spend whatever time is left before the arrival of the NtK reading around this forum (recent posts only) and also pepipoo.com to really get a feel for what might be needed for you to do after the NtK.

Second point - despite any desire to do so, DO NOT make any form of contact with the PPC and DO NOT in any communication give details of who was driving the vehicle.

Third point - retain all correspondence you receive from the PPC and keep a careful log of all dates, commencing with that of the parking event, because dates can be crucial in due course.

When you get your NtK come back to us if you need any help in progressng matters then.
