Yes- I did mention that on my previous post. There are 10 types of people in the world - those who understand binary and those who do not. :doh:0 -

Hi,
Sorry to jump on the back of your post but could I ask how long after receiving your p45 did you receive your redundancy payment?
I have recently been made redundant for the first time and i am a bit clueless as to what happens.
I received my p45 today in the post.
Thanks0 -

I actually got my P45 before I'd even left, which was a bit of a surprise! I got my redundancy payment on the date after I left which would have been my payday if I hadn't left, if you see what I mean!3 stone down, 3 more to go0 -
I am in the same situation as the original poster and telephoned HMRC today who told me not to complete a P50, they will send me an OCA91 form (whatever that is, not much on tinterweb). I'm to complete this and return it, if they agree I have overpaid tax when I received redundancy payment they will refund me. They said up to 2 weeks to receive the form and up to 7 weeks to assess my claim once they have received the form back from me.0
