Are there any insurances available if I choose to go out and do it myself?
What companies? What products? Where?
Any information/advice will be very much appricated.
I'm also thinking along the lines of car insurance where you can buy legal cover for a bit more, and so on and so on.0 -
This link is one example.

There are others available too. Some Buildings/contents insurers also offer legal and rent cover at an additional premium
www.yorkshirelets.co.uk is where I obtained my landlord policy from and rent guar. and legal cover can be added0 -
Excellent, thanks very much.
I originally thought that what I was asking probably wasn't even available, but hey I guess it is.
On the surface, that Rentguard policy sounds good. However, a concern is all the refrences tenants what need. Would that put potential tenants off from my let in particular? My 'market' would be uni students (only there for about 9/10 months of year, and may move every year anyway).0 -
If you are looking at students there are more "risks" involved.
Insurance is higher and you will find less lenders available.0
