Child Benefit

Hello all, my English is not very good. I came from France and started working in England. I applied for my Child benefit and was later sent a form- Child Benefit for People Coming from abroad. In the form I was asked to declare Income I received from France, although, I still receives some family benefit i.e for the child from France.
My question is, what count as an Income, do Family benefit count as an Income.
Also please what is Taxable and non Taxable Income?

If the rules for France are like Germany then you can receive Child Benefits in both countries (ie. both Germany and the UK - this would happen when you have one parent in one country one in the other), but you cannot claim the full child benefit in both countries.

If one parent claimed in Germany they would have the UK Child Benefit subtracted from their German Child Benefit before they received it.

So, possibly it is not just that your French Family Benefit counts as income - it may need to be declared separately and taken off your Child Benefit entitlement. Obviously you will need to investigate this further as I don't know the rules for French benefits.
