Nissan Note - DPF

Hi
Have settled on a Nissan Note as replacement car, but having trouble getting a definitive answer as to whether or not the 2010 1.5 diesel has a dpf fitted.
Have done lots of searching on the internet with a mix of results, some people saying they do and other claiming to have 2010 models without DPF's.
Have also rang around a few dealers, and again can not seem to get a definate answer, some of them didn't even seem to know what a DPF is.
Hoping someone on the forum might know when Nissan first intoduced DPF's to the Nissan Notes. My head head is battered from going round and round in circles.
Also do people know if there are specific problems with Note DPF's? I don't do a lot of long journeys so am worried this might have a negative impact on the car running.
Really preferred the performance of the Diesel today when took it for a test drive, the 1.6 petrol was ok but just not as good as the diesel but don't want to be constantly worrying that might need expensive repairs done to DPF.
In short what I'm asking (I think) is
1. Do 2010 Diesel Nissans have an DPF?
2. If they do, is it likely to be a problem or have problems been greatly exaggerated on internet/in the press.
Thanks in advance

All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy.

If you aren't doing a regular longer trips you may be lining yourself up for trouble, the problem is you won't know until you buy the car. DPF issues are probably excluded from warranty as its not a manufacturing fault.

Suggests it does have a DPF.
If you drove the 1.6 petrol like a diesel it would feel different. Petrols need a different driving technique.0 -
According to the very last post in that thread, 2010 was a crossover year so it appears those introduced in November 2010 had the DPF fitted:The DPF seems to be introduced for Euro 5 compliance starting 11/2010 production on K9K 1.5 dCi engines. The engine output was increased to 90 hp at that time.
My 1.5 dCi 86 hp Acenta is 06/2009 production and definitely does not have a DPF. I just checked underneath the car in case I'd misunderstood Nissan's parts catalogue. It's just regular exhaust pipework all the way from the downpipe to the rear silencer.
So, according to that the 86 hp 1.5 dCi is non-DPF and the current 90 hp is with DPF. If I'm right, all Note 1.5 dCi's 2006-2011 do not have the DPF.
Parkers seems to agree with that as they show three 1.5 diesel engines and it's the 88bhp one which is listed as Euro V (which would need a DPF) while the other two are Euro IV (which for that power output wouldn't):
84bhp/Euro IV:

88bhp/Euro V:

101bhp/Euro IV:

What spec is the car and is it a 59 or a 60? This is one of many annoying aspects of DPF's, it's very difficult to work out if the car has one at times as it's not clearcut when the models changed over to the DPF. Plus some cars had the DPF fitted in other countries but not here, I was trying to find if a friend's 2009 Honda FR-V had a DPF and after much hunting found it was fitted in some EU countries but not the UK (until the DTEC engine anyway).

I have a petrol Note (1.6 auto)
Not a bad car, has its faults, but reasonably comfortable and fairly economical for an auto.
Main niggles are the clunky suspension, dodgy electric boot release, useless heater, paint shedding off the alloy wheels, spacesaver spare with no room for a full size, and lack of room in the rear (I could just get my mountain 'bike in the back of my Corsa-C, and I can just get it in the back of the Note, but the Note is miles longer on the outside)I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)
