My role is at risk of redudancy... less than 2 months after 2 graduates were hired

    Hi OP - You suggest the structure is quite flat, does that mean you are not the only person doing the same job? If that is the case then perhaps you need to ask if you should have been pooled with others then selected for redundancy? Also employers need to mitigate a redundancy where possible and one way to do that is by redeployment. Ask for a copy of their vacancies - perhaps to tide you over you could apply for a graduate role?

    I suspect you'll have to accept the advice from other posters which is a shame and not the nicest introduction to work your going to have. The only way is up. Spend your time looking for a new job - you are entitled to reasonable paid time off once you've been served notice (some employers allow you paid time off during consultation) so take full advantage of this.

    This - If thier are other jobs in other departments recruiting I understand you'd no longer be other your manager but another so might be ok temporary?

    Sounds like you havn't got a leg to stand on..not sure why they don't just let you go straight since you've been working under 2 years.

    Where does the OP say he took time off for stress, and where he does he mention it was a distant relative who passed away? I trust you do understand what is meant by distant relative?
