Parking Eye Fine at Aldi :-(

I've used my local Aldi regulary for years, they've never charged for parking, last week we went to a different Aldi up the road. Today we recieved a Parking Eye fine for £70, we didn't notice any signs as daft as it sounds or a parking machine, we didn't signs inside either. We know you have to shop at Aldi to use the carpark, which we did.
Advice please?

Read this and join in the fun, COMPLAIN to Aldi in the strongest terms of course, they hate it and are really on the back foot right now!!!:

And send a challenge to PE with a copy of your recent Aldi receipts including the one from that day saying you wish to claim under their secret 'genuine customer exemption' which you only learnt about when you checked the legality of this fake PCN online and when you posted a complaint on the Aldi Facebook page. Finish by saying if they want more challenge appeal points they'll get them at POPLA stage - but for starters their signage is clearly utter pants as you didn't see it and were totally unaware of any restriction or sanction for 'breach'.
If you want to know about POPLA read the threads that mention it, there are loads...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

They cannot fine you, it is an invoice for payment.
Fines can only be levied by OFFICIAL parties.
Go Back and take photographs.
How long were you there ?
Always appeal.

Yes, a bit more detail needed.
Give us something to go on, is it a chargeable car park? How do you pay? Dis you overstay? Did they ticket you? Have you had papers through the post? Date of contravention? Date of Notice to keeper.
Come on, read a few threads and give us the info to help.0 -
Despite all the venom being publicly spat at Aldi via their FB page, they seem either totally powerless to rein in PE or they continue to encourage them to FINE (Aldi's word, not mine) their customers, who after all are their absolute raison d'être.
A catastrophic business model, methinks. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Yes they are anti customer at the moment, they appear to be determined to stick with parking eye, probably because the cancellation of their contract with them will hit them for millions. They have 400 stores in the uk if half have parking eye in you can imagine the sums of money coming in.
They take a hit on Facebook and think sod it, they are only a few meaningless customers. What a way to run a businessWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.
