Do you have a garden?
If so, growing your own veg might be a great hobby to get into. It doesn't take much to get started but I don understand spending £10 on some compost might be a bit on the steep side for what amounts to nothing (in the beginning at least!).0 -
Giffgaff give 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB data for £10/month. Maybe something else to consider. It operates like PAYG rather than a rolling contract, but instead of getting credit you get 'goodybags.'
giffgaff also have a £7.50 goodybag: 200 minutes, unlimited texts and 250MB data which might suit if you're not heavy data users.
Also, both those goodybags include free giffgaff to giffgaff calls - great if both you & OH switch
