In praise of the Coventry!

Very impressed with the Coventry Building Society. The mortgage application was very straightforward and all done by post; two weeks later we got the approval. No long interviews, no 'hard sell', no BS. And when we needed to change the amount following a revised price due to survey issues, this was done in a few days.
I originally went for HSBC and they wanted three face-to-face interviews, tons of documents and up to 8 weeks for approval.

Gosh, for one moment I misread the thread title and thought 'Tancred's forsaken the Royal Borough in favour of the Midlands!' LOL!
Only kidding Tancred - good to hear your house purchase is obviously progressing well

We are almost there - but it has been a saga and a half.0 -
Coventry Building Society are really good with a lot of what they do.
They really are an old fashioned building society which thankfully have not yet been taken over.
Their ISA is also good.0
