Downloading RPI and other web stuff to Excel

Hello everyone

I wonder if anyone can help with this?

I use Excel to help manage my savings. I have some international funds and have recently discovered how to write a formula to automatically download from the Web the current (albeit delayed) exchange rate for currency X against currency Y -- it works! Amazing! (see this great link: http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/windows/2005/02/08/xcel_mm.html)

My question here is: can you download the current UK RPI (Retail Price Index) into Excel in a similar way? Googling has so far drawn a blank.

I need this because I have NS&I savings which are indexed linked (and tax-free -- check them out at http://www.nsandi.com/products/ilsc/index.jsp) and it would be great to auto-track the RPI.

Many thanks
