I love going later in the day when it's not busy and taking my time. I don't enjoy shopping with OH, he rushes round darting from 1 area of the shop to another in a really disorganised fashion

    I hate clothes shopping

I really enjoy shopping and cooking. Not to mention the build up to the following week ahead for trying out new recipes. Most nights I look at recipes and books.

I don't enjoy it, but I go at it with a plan. If my SO comes with me, which isn't often since we work opposite schedules, we still stick with the plan, mostly ;) He never was a fan of Aldi and Lidl for some reason, but he's come around

Shopping list goes into MySupermarket, I print the split the list between Sainsbury's and Asda, then I hit Morrisson's, Lidl, Aldi, Asda, and Sainsbury's in that order (the order they happen to be on the road from my house to Sainsbury's)

I shop on Friday evenings after work, so it can take about 1.5 hours, but I feel like I'm doing my bit to keep food costs down for us.
  • Then my latest gripe - customers that put their shopping on the conveyor belt and say they forgot something and walk off. If its something generic - ask one of the checkout supervisors to get it and they will get it for you. I often do this and ask the supervisors to get a tin of basics peaches.

I do this quite a lot when it comes to tinned peaches. Thanks for your helpful post.

  • I enjoy it sometimes. That's when I get a bargain. But other times, when I get a trouting, or when i'm working to a list and one or more items are out of stock, then no. I don't. So it all depends on whether or not things go the way I want them to go.

I absolutely hate food shopping because I always end up buying something I know I am going to eat. No matter how much I try and talk myself out of buying it. Then when I have ate it, I feel guilty.

I try and avoid it as much as possible, and buy as little as possible - so I waste as little as possible (time and money).

Yes I do enjoy food shopping. I never used to but as I have got older I enjoy finding bargains and seeing how cheap I can get things. :j. We have just had a new Aldi open up close to us so I am looking forward to doing a full shop there. We went last week when it opened but took OH with me and DD so couldn't take the time to look around. And it was full so couldn't look round and browse at my leisure. So I might nip there today and have another look round and get a few little bits.
